My big guy isn't too fond of brushing either, especially the belly/armpits where he needs it most.... but he does pretty well if you distract him with a treat! I also get his fur trimmed down by a groomer during the hot summer months - I don't shave him all the way down (he'd be livid!) but by trimming it to an inch or less, it reduces a lot of the matting problems. And he looks like like a little woolly sheep!

I comb my Ragdoll Randy everymorning. I have a special place on the kitchen counter. I tell him up...and he jumps up. The spokes rotate. It's a small comb but he loves it. Afterward I give him his treats. It's just part of our routine in the morning. He is almost like a dog. I only comb him for a few minutes a day.
