Sammy doesn't mind the bath and he loves being brushed! I brush him real slow and talk real calm and quiet to him and he almost falls asleep! But for some reason, he doesn't like his tail brushed very much. With being mixed with cavalier, his fur is real long and I would have no idea how to cut it so he goes to the groomer for that an his nail clippings. He hates his nails clipped! He has to have 1/2 a tranquilizer when he goes to the vet, othewise he gets to yappy and it is a small place and he is still fearful of some dogs. It's a new place I take him to so hopefully with time, he won't need the pills.

I have had Poms all my adult life.I think the most important thing when gromming them would be to keep the rear end area trimmed up.Brushing daily or every other day is a god idea also to keep any matts from forming!
The only Pom I have now has CDA(color dilution alopeca)so she does not have much coat to work with!
