Im so upset!

October 6, 2009 | By Tricia L. | 2 comments

As some of you know ive been trying to find an Australian Shepherd dog for my dad to adopt. We had 2 growing up on our farm and they are the only dog my dad will own. Our 2 lived to be 14 yrs old. Long happy spoiled lives.
Well I havent had much luck. It seems they are a rare breed in our area.
I finally found one. A yr old girl aussie. The owners want to adopt her out because she has started to pick on their older dog. @ least its better than getting rid of their old dog =(.
So ne ways I wanted to show her how much of an animal lover my family is, So I sent her some pictures of puppy. I think by looking at her pictures you can tell she is well taken care of and LOVED!
Well the lady writes me back "will you be bringing your dog to visit your dad?, I dont want our dog to get hurt"
So pretty much just because my dog looks like a 'pit' she is going to hurt another dog??? What is wrong with people? Puppy wuldnt hurt a fly!
Almost made me cry, why dont people give dogs a chance? Why do they judge by looks?
ugh
I will let you know what ends up happening.
Thanks all.... :-/

Well, nothing like a close-minded idiot to ruin your day. You know what, Tricia? Consider the source. This lady is giving up a dog for christ's sake. I can guarantee you that she didn't talk to a behaviourist or take it in for training to stop the "picking on" of the older dog. Nope, a problem came up and boom, it's get rid of the dog. Don't get upset by turds. Your pup is gorgeous :)

I understand your pain. Your "Puppy" looks a lot like my Maximus and he is a big sweetheart. He just turned 3 years old on Monday. It is sad that people just don't understand that even though Pits might look menacing does not necessarily mean that they are a threat.
