Thank you for finally giving me an answer. Yes, Aidan does have some of the size, plus the plumed tail and tuffed feet. The vet says that he's not a look-alike, but a Maine Coon mix. Would have loved to have seen his parents.

Since Maine Coons are native to the US you will find a lot of Maine Coon look a likes, especially in the Northeast. I went for a pedigreed coon mostly for the size. I have several cats that fit the bill of a Coon but they don't have the lineage which is what makes them Pedigreed. The one thing that stands out most about my Chronos is his size, not just his weight but his build. On his hind legs his head clears my kitchen counter. And his tail is almost as big as he is. Even if your Cat is only part Coon you belong here.
