Afraid of thunder and lightening

Our Honeybear is so afraid of rainstorms she just starts running and doesn't know where she is going. Most of the time now, we try to keep her inside so she won't be so freaked and run. Any suggestions to help her break this fear?

Have you ever met a breed that is such a loving, sweet, gentle dog? Every Golden is like this, no exceptions. And every dog that has some Golden in him is bound to have that loving personality. I just found it amazing that they're so unique.
