Thanks for all your kinds thoughts for us. Since my post, a holistic vet in Speonk, NY has diagnosed it as a torn tendon in the shoulder with 40% muscle atrophy since we have kept him quiet for over a year (advice from 3 ortho vets). So, we started him on herbal remedies and acupuncture last week. Keep Rickey in your prayers that this is the thing that will finally help him. Thanks again!

I had a cocker spaniel for 13 yrs.My cocker spaniel developed bone cancer in her hind leg.
I am not sure what could be causing your Rickey's pain on this leg. You said they have done x-rays. So
that's a good thing that it was not cancer . I pray that you find out what is causing him pain. Sorry I could not be more help.
