Temperament wise, what can one expect of the Domestics?

the domestic short hair is not an actual breed of cat, but a term used to describe mixed breeds w/short fur. domestics include all cats that aren't wild. whether they are purebred or mixed, they're all considered domestic and there is a wide variety of personality traits depending on the breed as well as each specific cat. some traits are genetic, but much of what you've described about sophie is trainable. play aggression stems from being removed from her litter before she was able to learn whats too rough and should be corrected. naughtiness is a collection of trainable behaviors, and when a cat is overly-dependent, it's usually b/c they didn't learn to be independent. all cats are unique, even purebreds. personalities vary as much as they do in people.

I found a kitten in the park where I walk. He is about 2 mos. old and very, very spunky. I have had cats all my life but he is the most playful I have ever had. I know he will outgrow this. His name is Harley and he is very sweet!!! Out other cats have accepted him and although they are older they love to play with him. So good luck and God bless.
