Did you try to contact any "non kill" animal shelters? There are shelters specific to cats. I know the number of cats/kitties,in shelters, has drastically risen. I know have a 4th cat due to calling nonkil shelters, in and around Coumbus,OH. and even their v.mail states they are full and are taking ill/pregnancies. If kitty looks ill, she may qualify for said shelter, if that particular shelter you call is only taking "emergent" cases. In addition to my home 4, I also am a kitty mom to 2-4 kitties outside. I feed them and provide my garage during the winter/rain. Unfortunately, I cannot get close enough to capture and they are smart ones, so I can get them "desexed." As someone mentioned, also in Columbus, they have some places that will fix kitties/cats at near or no charge. By your picture, what a beautiful Tortie.Good luck. Looks like she's found a loving "dad" for now. ^^

I wish both of you all the luck in the world, and the cats looking for homes. Please, Please, Please, do not give up or turn your back on these cats. They need you more than you know. Be very careful to thoroughly screen prospective adopters. There are very strange people out there who do not value animals lives. A website called Alley Cat Allies has a lot of documentation about finding homes for strays. I found it very useful.
I have four cats now, all strays pretty much the same stories you have. There are just too many animals out there and not enough people willing to help.
While you are looking for homes for them please find a way to spay and neuter before sexual maturity if at all possible. It makes for much easier to handle indoor cats. Where I am in Jacksonville Florida there are numerous low cost spay and neuter programs that I volunteer at and use there services before adopting out a cat.
Good Luck
