Knots

Brushing your kitty at least once a week, preferably 2-3 times a week, will prevent most all knots. If the hair is easily matted, add some fish or flax oil to your cat's food, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon or one gel cap opened up.

scissors are what you should use. trying to brush out the knots can just make it more painful for your kitty. if the knot is fairly close to the skin just open the scissore about a 1/4 of an inch and slightly lift the knot away from the skin and cut the fur. good luck with your kitty!
