Christmas

Growing up my family always got our dogs one of those prepackaged stockings with the rawhide chew toys and a squeaker in it - we'd wrap it and the dogs had fun tearing off the paper and going crazy with new toys!

I think we will for our kitty too, but we didn't this year, as we just got her right before Christmas and already bought her toys.

Oh absolutely, I get presents for my cats and my friends dogs and when my dad was still living, for his cats too. The best present I got for mine was their cat tree, the worst was the plastic mice that roll around on their own if you wind them up. A new cat bed is sometimes a nice thing that my dad's cats always liked. This Christmas, I really bombed out on the toys. The things my cats enjoyed most was the wrapping paper and an old shoestring.
