Anyone Else's Cats Messing With Their Christmas Tree???

I am not sure what else to do. I am getting frustrated. One of my cats, Oreo is constantly climbing in my Christmas tree! He is ruining it. All the bottom branches are bending toward the floor and it is hard to get them to bend back into place. We just brought it & I am worried by the end of Christmas it will be ruined! He knows he is not supposed to be in there cause everytime I catch him in the act, he runs from me. I am not sure what can be done to stop this habit. I know the tree is very tempting, especially for a cat. I have toys and a cat tower tree for my cats to play with but Oreo is always the one who gets into things. Then he makes my other cats curious & want to be under the tree. UGH! Anyone else having this problem or had this issue in the past? If so, were you able to correct the behavior?

Luckily, Tiger didn't figure out that she can climb the tree, which is good since my mom gave me all my ornaments I got over the years! I'm sure we'll have problems with it next year though!

My roommate's cat never actually climbed in the tree, but she would get on the chair or endtable next to it and knock the ball ornaments off.

I found a neat idea this year for decorating a tree using old Christmas cards. No hooks or breakable ornaments so not a big deal if the cats knock these off. I set a small tree decorated with old cards in our living room this year and then put our bigger tree with the ornaments in our finished basement which we could close the cats off from when we weren't down there. We had peace this Christmas. I uploaded the video of this if you want to check it out.
