stomach aches

I have a platium bermise. We have had her since she was a kitten and she is now 8yrs old. She tends to throw up every so often. We arent sure why but we think its because she will eat to fast then run around playing and get an upset stomach. We have put her on a science diet ID formula of dry food and has done much better since but it still happens. Does anyone elses cat or kitten do this?
