My border collie deff. owns me! She is scared of sheep and won't herd anything that moves, yet she will herd me and run with me all day, and she loves to herd her toys! The best thing i think about owning her is she is really layed back, and very loyal to me no matter what, even when we are at shows and she is afraid of the much bigger dogs, she still listens to me and does what i want her to do. The best experiences i have had with her have to be when we lay around the house and she actually cuddles with me and she would sleep on me if i didn't move her.

I have two border collies who are brother and sister. Before them, I had a cocker spaniel who was a perfect first dog. These border collies are absolutely amazing. My little girl is blind in one eye so she doesn't do much in the way of frisbee tricks or whatnot. She does do the basic commands (sit, lay, shake and roll over). When she does get the itch to play ball she really makes me laugh. My little boy is the frisbee getter and the ball boy. They are both very smart and so loyal to all of us. I have also noticed that my boy is snippy with other animals that he hasn't been around. I don't know if it's the breed or the fact that he's so protective of his sister. It's fun to watch them herd. When my daughter is out running around he will nip at her to get her to stop. My dogs are on invisible fence with 2acres to run like crazy. If they didn't have that fence, they would be everywhere. They love to explore.
I love both of my collies.
