My dog is just as bad, too! Whenever I have to give him medicine I have to open his mouth, put the pill in, and try to keep it from sliding out of his mouth whenever he pushes it to the side of his mouth. Sometimes he still manages to spit it out on the slide. But I put it right back in his mouth over and over again. Finally, he decides to swallow it. And if I hide it in his food, he'll sniff it and walk away and never eat it. So you're not the only one.

Take some regular cream cheese and one tablespoon of peanutbutter. Mix it really well. Keep in fridge for a while. It will coat the pill perfectly, not slide off and not stick to your finger. You may have to break the pill in half or even quaters, so he doesn't have to chew it. My 10 can't resist this stuff - works every time!
