Fish are growing and multiplying

March 11, 2009 | By Paige R. | 2 comments

We started a few years ago with five goldfish in our backyard pond, bringing them in winter to keep in an aquarium. They got too big for the aquarium, and now winter over in a larger pond with the help of a heater to keep in from freezing. Not only did we have to enlarge and deepen the pond for them, but we now have 17 fish, and they are huge! We even have some black fish, and none or the originals were black. Has anyone ever had this experience? We figure the environment must be favorable, and we do keep it clean and feed them in warmer weather.
