I live out in the country and have rusty well water i put this in my fish tank water as i will filling it up. Put fish in maybe a half hour later and they have not died yet the bottle says to works emediatly and to me it seems to have worked it has been 5 days no dead fish and no problems yet. I paid about $3 for a bottle of this and with my 25gallon tank i can use it about 5 times.
