These are great for both small tanks and larger ones (up to 10 gals) and help to keep the oxygen levels up for the fish. They are easy to set up - just attach to an air home and pump, then place in tank. You are able to tell when they are needing to be changed - the bubbles flow slower and are larger. My fish like to swim in and out of the bubbling! Fun to watch and adds interest to the tank.
