the wheel on your eclipse hood should never need to be replaced unless you destroy it or lose it. the water runs through the wheel and helps to establish bacterial colonies and such that will help to keep the water clean. i have had my eclipse setup for almost 3 years now and have never had to replace the wheel. great setup, water is crystal clear.
