I used two of these filter in my big pond, and so far I have only replaced one. They are fairly light (good because the water is so heavy) which help when you have to get wet and get then from the bottom of the pond for cleaning (about every two weeks). I have about 20-30 goldfish in my pond and they are thriving, so something must be working well.
