Perfecto filters are manufactured with a unique design that permits uniform flow across the entire tank.Perfecto filters are easy to install. A fish protector on the flow spouts and a raised tube connector to keep gravel from falling beneath the plate. Requires either an air pump or a powerhead to operate.Sizes: 10" W x 12" L (fits 10 gallon tanks), 12" W x 24" L (fits 15 & 20H tanks), 12" W x 30" L (fits 20L and 29 tanks), 13" W x48" L (fits 55/40, ECO 40 and 60 tanks), and 18" W x 48" L (fits 70, 90, 110 gallon tanks).

This set up does quite well as the only filter, but some people choose to use it with a "skimmer" type filter for absolute cleanest tank.
