I've used Penn Plax Power Filters for over 25 years with excellent results. They've made lots of improvements over that period of time and this cascade 300 is a great little filter. It's easy to set up, easy to clean. The fish are healthy and I'm happy. I prefer these power back filters to the undergravels that I used to use. I think they are more efficient, deffinately easier to maintain, and the only drawback is that they are larger and more visible than my old penquins.
