Pros: Long and low so more fish friendly, inexpensive, self contained
Cons: Plastic/plexiglass, so be gentle when handling it
If you're looking for a small aquarium, this is heads and shoulders above most. Though only 6.6 gallons, the aquarium is designed to give better surface area for its capacity, and I would feel comfortable having 6-10 tropical or 3 goldfish in this tank. Right now it's housing a few weather loaches, and these bottom feeders greatly enjoy the length of this tank. I was a little concerned with the plastic exterior, but I moved halfway across the country with this in the trunk of my car, and it has survived many unpackings and "smooshings" to fit with no trouble. The filter works great and I am very impressed. I used to work at Petsmart so I saw a lot of little tanks, but this is by far the best one I've ever seen.
