Top Notch Emergency Care

posted 7 years ago

I took my little dog Maggie here last year when she was attacked by a Doberman Pinscher. In a split second, this dog tore her throat in several places, and I was afraid I would lose her. The docs at ACCESS assured me they were quite familiar with these type injuries, that fixing it would be no problem, and they located and stitched up about six places she had been bitten without complications. Post-op care was a challenge since we needed to keep her from reaching the stitches with her back paws, yet couldn't use a cone around her throat. They devised a wrap-bandage that worked just fine. They also cooperated with the owner of the other dog on making payment, no hassle, no obstacles. You know they're good when you see that both Animal Control and Canine Patrol officers bring their injured dogs here.

Pros: Well versed in animal emergencies, centrally located, fully staffed, reasonable charges

Cons: The clinic can be hard to pick out between other buildings

This is a really great organization. Everyone I have dealt with has been really knowledgable. I think it is great that they use shelter dogs and turn them into service dogs.
