Wonderful Caring Staff

posted 6 years ago

I didn't know what category to add the service under.
Our dog Buddy died unexpectedly after surgery. My wife and I were devastated. Buddy was a stray, a runner.
My wife saw him running down a country road. She pulled up in front of him, she opened the van door and called him. He ran full speed right into our front seat. We always had that feeling that he would have just ran forever. When he passed away we knew we couldn't bury him in the ground. We wanted to cremate him, and throw a bit of his ashes into the wind.
Burn's Pet Remembered Crematory had not officially opened yet. The other closest pet crematory was a good 50+ miles away. I decided to call Burn's. The owner spoke with my wife and I for a half an hour. He explained that the building was not all the way complete but the furnaces were working, and that they would cremate Buddy for us now.
Mr. Burns was a wonderful man, and the other staff members were the same way. They treated us just as they would have somebody who lost a relative.
I highly recommend them to anybody in Northwest Indiana or the Southern Chicago burbs.

Pros: caring people wonderful facility

Cons: none

I've enjoyed taking my dogs to Lemon Park. However if it has rained it tends to get real muddy and depending on what time of year it is, it can cost 4 dollars each time unless you buy a pass.

Lemon Lake is a great place for people and their dogs. There are fenced in areas that they can run free in and trails that dogs can take with their owners!
