Pros: great taste

Cons: opportunity to lodge in throat and make gums bleed

These treats look really funny, but my dog LOVED the one I gave her. I gave her the corn one first. She wouldn't let me pry it away from her, which usually isnt an issue. Then it got stuck in her throat and I had to reach my hand in to dig it out. She is a chihuahua mix, so it wasn't all that easy to do, and extremely scary. She chews everything very well, so that wasn't the issue. I think it just got super slippery and got away from her while she was chewing. It also made her gums bleed. She loves these treats, but I would be afraid to give her, or any other small dog one ever again.

I'm glad you wrote this in your review. I am waiting for my sample and I have a rat terrier. While he is not as small as a chi he is still on the small side. I will definitely keep a close eye on him if I do decide to even let him one at all. Thanks!

I received this sample and gave it to my largest dog, Ashley. These things are basically the same as Greenies from what I can tell, and I wouldn't give them to any of my dogs. I've got to admit that Ashley enjoyed it, but I would definitely supervise her very closely if I ever gave it to her again.

When feeding your dog any treat - please make sure to watch for cautions on the packaging. Small Pegetables are made for dogs 15-25 lbs. If your dog is smaller then 15lbs you should put the treat in the microwave for 5 seconds and cut them in smaller bits- that way they won't try and gulp the product.
