Pros: Durable, easy to "stuff" with treats
Cons: Kind of pricey, need to replace every few months
My ESS Doc loves his Kong. It stands up to my guys chewing, but is not so hard that he cant squish it a bit. They usually last several months and then need to be replaced when they start getting teeth marks in them and tiny pieces fall off. They really help my boys get through any separation anxiety when we first leave as they are too busy trying to lick all the peanut butter out of them. To keep them busy longer I will spread peanut butter around the inside and then stuff two treats (bones) in at once. They really have to work to get the treats softened up to get them out, then still have the peanut butter. You can also freeze peanut butter in them for a few hours to make them work more. My guys also like chasing them, but you must be careful if in the house, as they bounce unpredictably sometimes. They also play tug of war with them.
