Opaque e collars scare the dogs

My dog was licking at his stitches and causing a problem. When I went back to the vet along with medication they gave us a platic opaque e collar. My dog doesn't mind wearing vests or harnesses but he freaked out with this e collar. I went to Klem's and bought a see through e collar and we had no problem. The office staff is going to recommend that the vet carry the see throuh e collars as as option. After reading zootoo I realized that they have soft e collar. Happily in a few days he won't need the collar.
