Works almost immediately

I first observed this product in use at the vet's office when they cut one of my dogs nails too short. It worked almost immediately after being applied. My dog responded by trying to jerk her paw away from the technician. I don't know if that was caused by the the mishap or if the powder stings when applied. Regardless, good product to have around the house.
