A Must if you have to leave your dog crated

I have to leave my dog crated for more than 6 hours so I use the play pen to extend her crate. It gives her a tons of room to roam. She can go in and out of her crate or stay out in the play pen which is attached to her crate with all her toys. I read an article that if you have to leave a pet crated more than 5 hours you should extend the crate with a playpen.
