Pros: inexpensive, tough, durable, brass nameplate on collar; extra ring in collar

Cons: the nylon ones begin smelling if in water alot and left on dog

the photo is the collar that my dog Pyper has and it is a coated nylon collar by Cabela's; it is holding up well under alot of rough and tumble playing, lots of swims in the lake, and the occasional tugging while on walks; My other dog,Jhet, has worn Cabela's collars since she was a year old; unfortunately, if they are not removed and rinsed after the dog has been in the water and then allowed to dry before putting back on the dog, they do develop an odor! However the coated nylon one that we have now seems to be holding up well! I especially like the Brass nameplates that we have put on the collars with the dog's name, our address and phone numbers. I have never had a Cabela's collar with name plate, take over 10 days to get here; they are also great about dealing with any questions you have and if a collar doesn't fit or is defective in any way, they are quick to exchange it. These collars are tough and stand up to LAB testing all the time...both in and out of the water, in the brushes and bramble, or walking on a city street with leash attached.
