I like the one-year rabies vaccine for our shelter dogs. When they come in, you don't know if they are up-to-date. I would hate to over medicate them, in case they had just had a booster....
One year is good, then the new adoptive family can get another in one year's time, and it can be the 3 yr if they'd like.
