A microscope is a must for every shelter. When the animals are tested the medical staff use this.

These is a must have in shelters. Great for running fecals, looking for mange or even a heartworm test if your shlter can not afford the Idexx test.

We have a microscope just like this in our lab! We use it to read fecals every day. It's definitely very helpful!
