When Shorty (the dog) injures her spine, paralyzing her back legs, the veterinarian says that the dog will never be able to walk again. When they find a wheelchair for her, Shorty has to learn to move around in a whole new way, and she and her friends are happy to soon find that Shorty’s disability does not need to slow her down.
I gave this to my four year old nephew. One of our dogs is having some hip problems & I thought it would be a good way to introduce my nephew to the idea of wheelchairs.
