i love this type of leash. It is excellent for training dogs to come, allowing pent up shelter dogs some excercise room, and it can be looped around the body for control of those powerful lovable but untrained shelter dogs. I use this type of leash every day as a shelter worker, and at home. I can put this leash on a dog and allow them some freedom to run and burn up some energy, I can work on critical training issues, and I can use it so I do not get pulle dovwer by even the largest powerful dog. A plus
