I walk all 3 of my pitties at the same time using a Halti on a 4ft leash with a martingale as a back up.
The Halti has a safety where a small tether with a clip connects to your back up leash.. so if the dog does get out of the Halti they will not get away..
This collar will take some training. Dogs will try to push the Halti off their heads. I had a professional trainer show me how to use this leash. Now I train other people how to use it at the shelter.. and my pet partner is always trained on a Halti.
When someone looks at the muscularity of some of the pitties I work with they wonder if they can walk them. I put the Halti on the dog to ease their minds..
I would suggest getting someone to instruct you on the proper use of this collar if you are interested.
