This book is an excellent resource not only for pit bull breed owners, but for those interested, willing, or at least open to learning more about pit bull breeds. The author provides and extensive history of pit bull breed development, conformation, training, and modern day use as working dogs. Nothing is sugar coated: these dogs are not for the causal dog owner and take a lot of dedication, responsibility, and love. I wish everyone could read this book; it would do a lot to help the breed bias that the general public holds against pit bull breeds. It is an invaluable tool in education.
