Great food without the hassle!

I decided to try this food as a supplement to put some weight on a skinny rescued dog I had. I bought one roll of the lamb, and now I am hooked - and my four-legged companions are as well! The Natural Balance food rolls come in different flavors and sizes, so there's something for everyone. With two hundred-pound dogs, I buy the biggest available, but they have much smaller sizes as well. Unlike canned or "prepared raw" foods, these rolls are not messy or distasteful to handle. In fact, they remind me very much of a large summer sausage. They cut easily into bite-sized chunks, or you can even grate them with a cheese grater for a nice "sprinkle" effect to top dry food. The ingredients are wonderful and nutritious, with lots of added vitamins and minerals. I have seen a change in my dogs after using this food for a little over a month. Their coats are shinier, my skinny rescue dog is filling out nicely, and my very old dog - who was becoming very picky about her food - has her appetite back in full force again.

Cut into very small pieces, these rolls also make great training treats or "bait." They have a strong scent that keeps a dog's attention, but as I said before are not messy and nasty for the human handler. I will definitely be taking a baggie full along to obedience classes!

One of my dogs has a very sensitive stomach and did have a little bit of loose stool for a couple of days after I started feeding the Natural Balance (and yes, I did introduce it slowly), but it cleared up and does not seem to affect her at all now.

The biggest downside for me is that I cannot get this food locally. I can either drive 70 miles to the nearest PetCo or order it from a catalog/website and pay heavy item shipping.

All in all, I think the Natural Balance rolls are wonderful. I would definitely recommend this to pet owners as an easy way to improve their dogs' diet.
