Additional Description

This canned wet dog food is developed using only premium quality, natural ingredients, and only USDA choice meats. Solid Gold® Green Cow® Tripe Canned Dog Food Green Cow® Tripe is a canned dog food that works wonders perking up high activity dogs such as sporting dogs, hunting, agility and musher dogs. The side effect is that the enzymes produce a beautiful coat! Tripe is an excellent recovery food for weak or ill animals that may have a depressed appetite. Green Cow® may be fed to puppies under a year that may not have completely developed internally and may have on and off diarrhea. Green Tripe is excellent as the sole diet or as an accompaniment to dry kibble with a great taste that dogs love! May be fed to cats as well! Canned dog food may be fed alone or added to dry food for extra variety and increased palatability. They have a higher moisture content than dry diets and are often recommended for pets with urinary tract problems because the increased fluid intake can be helpful to those conditions. The soft consistency is perfect for older dogs with dental problems as well as young puppies. What is Tripe? Tripe is the stomach lining of the cow’s fourth stomach, or abomassum. The abomassum is where the actual digestion of the grasses and grains the cow has ingested takes place. Green tripe contains the partially digested plant matter the cow had eaten as well as the naturally occurring gastric juices and digestive enzymes. Tripe can be a little smelly when you first open the can, but the smell dissipates. Your do not have to give the entire can per meal. A 50 pound dog needs only two heaping tablespoons mixed with dry food. For smaller dogs, use only one heaping tablespoon.
