Review Details
I live in Florida and had a huge flea problem last summer, even though my dog was on Frontline Plus year-round. I felt like I picked at least 20 fleas off of him daily. I switched to Advantix and Advantage and they seemed to work better. I've had my dog on Comfortis, an oral flea medicine, for about 2 months now and it seems to work very well. I'll have to see how it works when the peak of the flea season comes around in a few months but so far I like the product. I also like that, unlike Frontline Plus or other topical flea medicines, I can bathe my dog at any time without worrying about washing the medicine off.
I don't think Frontline is a bad product, I think, perhaps, that using just one product year-round may not be that effective. I think switching products month to month may help keep fleas from developing a resistance to any topical flea medicine.
