I have used Frontline Plus on my dogs for years. They have not had a tick or a flea (that I have seen) in all of that time. The application can be a bit messy (depending on the dog and coat) and one of my dogs gets somewhat un-nerved when I come at her with it but seems to realize it's no big deal. I have often gone a couple of weeks (or more) before reapplying and still have no flea issues. I always recommend it to people I talk with who are using less effective means to control fleas.
