Worked great for my mom's chow chow

I bought this product for my mom's chow chow. She was getting older and had bone issues from being abused before my mom adopted her. So i bought this so she wouldn't have to stoop to eat. I think she liked it - the dog (my mom liked it). It seemed easier for Chow Mein to just step up and eat and drink straight out of the bowl. It wasn't so high where the cat couldn't get at it if he really wanted to - but it made it a lot harder for him to eat out of her dish as well. So I would recommend it - although some people may think ti is bulky and may not be "pretty". It helped the dog and didn't look terrible - so that is what matters. : - )
