When I got my first kitty I used this - one for his water and one for his food. It was great - off the floor and a little higher and more comfortable for him to eat out of. It is also very easy to clean and looked Ok in my kitchen.
Then when I got my other cat - I put food in both sides and put the water bowl in the front middle on the floor. It worked great. Too bad they don't have one with three dishes - the way I had mine set up. : - )
I loved it and would recommend it.
