We sought out this food for one of our Labs, who has a suspected wheat allergy. We also thought that the lack of preservatives (other than vitamin E) might help him.We figured that we would have a hard time finding it because we are not near any of the large pet chains but a feed store nearby has it. We were pleased to discover that when we bought the 40 pound bag it was actually less expensive than what we had been using. It is also a good buy because you don't need to feed as much as other brands. In light of this we put five of our six dogs on it. (the sixth dog needs a heart disease diet) I always thought our dogs had shiny coats but this makes them feel like silk! We also have noticed an improvement in everyone's breath, which I believe is a result of the probiotics that the food contains. I believe it is also helping our allergic Lab. He is a bugger about getting into bread if someone leaves it on the counter and I can always tell when that has happened because the itching starts up again. Most of the time though, he is better. If my dogs are showing such excellent outward results, I can only imagine the benefits they are reaping on the inside!
