Pros: CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE
Cons: A bit more work
Are you spending $1 or so per diaper for your incontinent dog? I think that's about how much the Simple Solutions diapers were costing us. Then someone suggested baby diapers. We thought, "great, but where will their tail go?" Well, just take a sturdy pair of scissors, and cut a long slit for their tail to go through!
We'd rather spend $10 for 48 diapers, than $12.99 for 10 diapers (occasionally $9.99 on Amazon)!! The little bit of extra effort is well worth it.
The Pampers Swaddlers are actually shaped very much like the Simple Solutions diapers. Size-wise, you may have to experiment a bit. The size 2 Pampers are roughly equivalent to the extra small Simple Solutions. You might be able to get by with a size 1 if your dog is short-haired; with Minky, our Pom, the size 2 is helpful because her long hair tends to get in the way of the adhesive.
