I only use this chain when walking our Barney in Florida. It keeps him from pulling and allows us to keep him close to us when we need to. He doesn't like to have it choke him, so he doesn't pull. also, sometimes when I walk Sully on the roads here, I keep it on him so he stays with me and not in the road.
