I bought this for my pit bull mix. She can be a nightmare on a leash, even with obedience training. I decided to try this b/c I had heard great things. My feelings are mixed. My dog had a terrible time getting used to it. She would roll on the ground, trying to get it off her face and wouldn't walk. After about a week or so, she became somewhat used to it. Now I really only use it when we go to the vet's office or groomers (or anywhere else she pulls like crazy). I don't like the fact that people mistake it for a muzzle. I don't want people to think my pit bull is mean and needs a muzzle, not the case at all! People on the street just assume right away that a dog with the gentle leader on is wearing a muzzle.

I don't like using it on our pit bull because people think it is a muzzle too.
