This is a really useful tool to enable you to stop your dog from pulling on walks. It works on the same principle as a halter on a horse, where the head goes so does the dog. If the dog tries to pull his head is pulled over to the side and he can't continue to move forward. This gives you much more control since it requires much less muscle and effort on your part to produce the right response. I used this product frequently on my last dog who was a terrible walker and my main problem with it was that while I could go for a calm, easy walk when he was wearing it, as soon as I took it off he reverted to his old habits. I didn't feel like it ever really trained him not to pull it just made him easier for me to control.
