When I walk both my dogs at once, it can be a challenge. I like the retractable leashes because I can give them a long leash where they can roam and sniff around during most of the walk, but when we get to an intersection, dangerous part of a road, or near other dogs/people, I can shorten the leash to keep control and keep them from getting all tangled up in stuff.
