Review Details
The point of slip chains is to make the correction and release quickly. The smoothest chains are the best to allow for that and also to have the dog learn to cue to the correction sound as the collar is run through the links, accompanied by the word "no!". Also, make sure the collar is able to slip and release on the proper side- they don't do a thing if the collar is on backwards and gets caught on itself. Safer than a headcollar but a prong collar is the safest.
