They are not just for dogs
Pros: Tough
Cons: They aren't carried by every store.

I have four of these crates, but I don't have a dog.
I do have 3 cubby cats (one Maine Coon) so I need a carrier with (ahmmm..) " whisker clearance".
The cost may seem little high for cat owners but they are worth it. I got my first 2 in 1988. They are now their second generation of cats and still look (and work) like they are new.
I found may 3rd crate at a flea market and since it is big enough for me to nap in I dragged it home for my foster mamma's to help with the kittens. I added a rope shelf in the back and an old light from a fish tank to trick the new digs out.
My 4th crate was harder to find. I had to go to a few places before I found it at Pets Supply Plus. It cost a little more then the other "cat" carriers they had but it is worth it.
They are airline approved. They come with dishes that hook onto the door. They are also built to last.
